Rangers' rumoured transfer target Aaron Mooy won some fine reviews for his performance against England in tonight's international friendly match.
The midfielder, formerly of St. Mirren, has 13 Australia caps and plays for Melbourne City in the A-League, but some rumours have surfaced linking him with a move to Ibrox, including from none other than Ryan McGowan, who mentioned the links on Twitter.
While Mooy looks a decent player, and has a very handy return of goals for a central midfield player as well as a keen eye for a pass, it's questionable if a deal will be done. We're already pretty well-stocked in the position, look likely to sign Niko Kranjcar and have been in talks with Graham Dorrans too. Perhaps Mark Warburton wants one more and is keeping his options open (especially after Kranjcar was recently injured for 4-6 weeks) but it's not clear right not, particularly since the rumour hasn't surfaced either in the national press or on the GTBFO Official Grapevine. We're skeptical about this one for now.
