The latest rumour to sweep social media has yet another striker linked with a move to Ibrox ahead of the league kick-off on Saturday. Former Arsenal and Crystal Palace striker Marouane Chamakh is reportedly the focus of Rangers’ interest and the free agent could make the move to Ibrox in the next few days.
The Moroccan international only scored 10 times in his three years at Crystal Palace and is available on a free transfer after his release by Palace earlier in the summer.
Rangers haven’t commented on the rumours and there’s nothing concrete which suggests the move is likely to happen but Mark Warburton has, once again, spoken of his desire to bring in a new forward and defender before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
