Rangers transfer news: Club set to snap up young English winger

Mekhi Leacock-Macleod is reportedly close to joining Rangers from English Championship side Wolves, according to reports.

One of these days we'll sign someone who is famous enough to have a photo of him on Getty's database.

Rangers look like they could be about to sign one of their transfer targets of the window, although it's not the one everybody wanted.

Mekhi Leacock-Macleod, who was on trial this month from Wolves, looks like he'll shortly become a Rangers player, according to Sky Sports' Pete O'Rourke:

Leacock-Macleod (what is it with all these double-barreled footballers down South?) appears to be a winger and attacking midfielder, and has been pretty highly-rated in his career, although has presumably lost his way, first moving from Fulham to Wolves and now leaving them, too.

Mark Warburton and Frank McParland presumably think they can turn him into a player, although whether he'll get much action this season even if we do sign him remains to be seen. Still, welcome aboard, pal.
