James Tavernier's goal in the Petrofac Cup final against Peterhead has been voted the 2015/16 Rangers Goal of the Season at tonight's Player of the Year awards in Glasgow.

After failing to deal with a threat on the left hand side of the penalty area the Blue Toon could only watch as, after a lovely flick by Kenny Miller, James Tavernier unleashed an unstoppable volley beyond ex-Gers keeper Graeme Smith.

The goal was one of THREE nominations for the full-back who enjoyed a fantastic goalscoring debut season at Ibrox, beating John Greig's long-standing record for goals in a season from full-back.
