Aird set for Falkirk move?

After his season-long loan at MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps, Fraser Aird looks set for another move away from Ibrox with a move to Falkirk expected to be confirmed over the next few days. The Canadian, who made his Rangers debut under Ally McCoist, has failed to make any impact under Mark Warburton and a move to Championship Bairns will offer an opportunity of regular first team football.

With Aird under contract until 2018 it’s unclear whether a move would be a loan deal or a permanent transfer but it appears the midfielder has made his last appearance in light blue. One possibility is that, following reports of Rangers interest in Bairns’ winger Craig Sibbald, Aird could move to Falkirk as a makeweight in any deal sending Sibbald to Ibrox.

Aird would link up with former Ibrox team-mate Luca Gasparotto at the Falkirk Stadium and a step down to the Championship may be the move the player needs to secure his a long-term move away from Rangers.
