Rangers to face Dunfermline in Betfred Cup

Rangers have been drawn at home to face Dunfermline Athletic in the second round of the Betfred Cup after the Pars made it through at the expense of Ian Cathro’s Hearts side.

Dunfermline, who have ex-Gers Nicky Clark & Dean Shiels in their ranks, will travel to Ibrox on August 8th or 9th as the Gers make their first appearance in this season’s League Cup.

The last time the sides met in the League Cup, Walter Smith’s side ran out easy 7-2 winners with Kyle Lafferty’s hat-trick adding to a Jelavic double and goals from Steven Naismith and Madjid Bougherra.
