Rangers are wasting no time in transforming the squad in the January transfer window, having already secured Jamie Murphy on a loan to buy deal and with four players expected to make the move to Ibrox this week.
Here’s what we expect and what we know right now:
As you’ve probably seen, Jason Cummings flew into Glasgow yesterday and could be announced today, on a loan deal with an option to buy for a fee suggested to be £600k.
As reported last week, Rangers have opened discussions with Hamilton about a move for Greg Docherty, with Accies apparently looking for a fee in the region of £650k.
Reliable Twitter source @NewcoTed has stated Rangers have made a bid for Jordan Jones.
And finally, Russell Martin is likely to finalise his move to Rangers on Tuesday, according to the Sun, who are usually pretty reliable.
So, pretty exciting times, all-in-all. There’s been no further word on departures, although we’d expect that Eduardo Herrera won’t be hanging around for too long. There’s been no mention of Fabio Cardoso leaving just yet, and he was in the papers giving an interview about wanting to stay - we’d expect that decision to take place in the summer.
