Another of Mark Warburton’s ‘class of 2016’ duds could be set for a move back to England with reports Rotherham United are interested in signing Josh Windass. Windass, who moved north last summer, has struggled to meet expectations at Ibrox and isn’t likely to be a Rangers player much longer as Pedro Caixinha continues to move on the players who let the club down so badly last season

Rotherham boss Paul Warne is looking to improve his side after The Millers were relegated to League One last season and Windass is believed to be high on his wanted list. Rangers should be easy to deal with over the proposed transfer and it could happen before the start of next week. The midfielder has made 28 appearances for the Gers, scoring once, but hasn’t shown the form which saw Arsenal show interest in him at one point.

Windass signed for Rangers from Accrington Stanley with Matt Crooks but both players struggled to make an impact. With Crooks already gone, Windass could quickly follow him back to England.
