Rangers have launched a bid to take another of Aberdeen’s key players before the season kicks off with Kenny McLean the latest target for Pedro Caixinha. According to the Evening Times, Caixinha wants the midfielder to be the next addition to his Rangers rebuild following reports of interest from Harry Redknapp’s Birmingham City.
McLean, who joined Aberdeen from St. Mirren, has a year left on his deal at Pittodrie and would cost Rangers a fee in the region of £1.5m to lure him from the Granite City. The 25-year-old made his Scotland debut in 2016 and has played over 100 times for the Dons since joining Derek McInnes’ side at the start of 2015.
