Rangers have been linked with a move for Paulinho, a high-scoring winger who plays for Gil Vicente in the Portuguese Second Division.
The news reportedly came from O Jogo in Portugal, although in reality the Portuguese site were simply passing on a suggestion that Rangers should sign him from the notoriously unreliable HITC.
Of course, that doesn't mean it can't happen - it might make some sense. Pedro Caixinha reportedly shares an agent with the player (a transfer strategy that's brought us some great... ehh well...) and he's also available on a free. He's got almost a one-in-two scoring rate this year too, which isn't too shabby.
However, for now, the links are anything other than concrete. It's a suggestion on a slow news day from an unreliable site copied into the Portuguese press in a merry-go-round of what is so far, baseless nonsense. He may well end up as a target in the summer, but he's no more likely to than anyone else.
