Frank McParland is set to leave Rangers, according to the Scottish Sun.
The headline states that he'll be leaving over "budget issues", and mentions that he's become frustrated at working to such a small budget, although the whole of the article is somewhat less clear. Displeasure at McParland's woeful track record since coming in is also apparently contributing to it, and it's not really clear whether he's jumping, being pushed, or jumping before he's being pushed.
The timing of this is quite important, too - it seems increasingly unlikely that Warburton will be here next season, and might not even get until the end of this one. With that in mind, it would be expected that McParland would be out of the door with him. Birmingham City were linked with a move for him recently, and he could just decide to get out now.
What that means for Warburton is anyone's guess, but it doesn't look like he'll be here for too much longer. The manager could well be set to follow him, particularly if Rangers can't get past Morton tomorrow in the cup.
