Mark Warburton and David Weir instructed to sue Rangers for £1m - report

The departed trio have apparently been told to go in hard.

Rangers could be involved at the center of a £1m compensation claim from Mark Warburton, David Weir and Frank McParland, according to the Scottish Sun.

The paper claims that the trio have been given instructions from the English League Manager's Association to try and claim full compensation.

The three had their contracts terminated after what was considered to be a resignation by the club, although they deny this.

The question is - if, as Dave King said earlier in his letter, the resignation was immediately accepted and the contracts terminated, why was Warburton taking training and press conferences? It's the one piece of the puzzle that doesn't quite add up.

Whether the agreement is in writing or merely verbal is not quite clear, either. Scots contract law permits the latter, providing it can be corroborated by witnesses.

It looks like we might not get the clean break we were all looking for here. Hopefully it turns out for the best.
