Frank de Boer seems like he could be a genuine possibility.

Frank de Boer is under consideration for the managerial role at Rangers, and told Sky Sports News that he would "always listen" to any offers from the club.

"I'm just taking a break, and looking more for next season, I'd like to start in pre-season, not the middle of the season. It's a long time since I've had a break."

In addition, Bruce Archer, of the Daily Express, listed De Boer among a list of names the board were considering.

De Boer's interview on Sky Sports didn't seem too convincing, but if he's even a vague possibility then there's no doubt the board should be speaking to him seriously. Of course, first, they may be looking at installing a Director of Football - talks have already opened with Southampton's Ross Wilson, which you can read more about here.

We don't expect a decision to be made for quite some time, and an interim manager might be appointed first, too. We'll give you the latest news when we get it.
