Pre-match shoot

Hearts have struggled for form since replacing Robbie Neilson with Ian Cathro, and have recently struggled to get past Rovers in the cup before getting hammered by Celtic. It may be early days, but Cathro faces the prospect of open revolt if he suffers defeat in games against Hibs in the cup and us at Tynecastle. To that end, Hearts have signed a lot of players in this window, which Mark Warburton noted are probably low on match fitness. Essentially, they'll be a very unpredictable side, but with Rangers coming into the game after a fine 2-0 win at Motherwell and new signing Emerson Hyndman starting excellently, there's a very good prospect of a victory in Edinburgh.

Team news

Joe Garner is fit enough to play some part, while Jordan Rossiter is probably still absent. Danny Wilson should be available too. Niko Kranjcar, of course, won't be around.
