According to reports, Hull City have had a bid of £1.5m rejected for Rangers midfielder Josh Windass. Windass, who only joined Rangers in the summer, is highly thought of in England and has previously attracted interest from Arsenal, Newcastle United and Derby County but moved north after leaving Accrington Stanley in June.
A move to Hull could have a huge sentimental draw for Windass with has dad, ex-Aberdeen midfielder Dean, an icon amongst the Tigers’ support. New Hull boss Marco Silva faces a fight to keep his side in the Premier League and, with money to spend after the sale of Jake Livermore (and the imminent sale of Robert Snodgrass), he apparently feels the 23-year-old can aid his side’s escape bid.
Windass has made 16 appearances, scoring once, in his time at Ibrox so far and his largely impressed supporters although he has had struggled with injury which has restricted his game-time.
