Jordan Thompson extends contract and goes back out on loan

Northern Irish midfielder Jordan Thompson has signed a one-year extension to his contract and remain a Rangers player until the summer of 2018. Thompson joined from Manchester United in 2015 and has will see out the remainder of this season on loan at Raith Rovers.

Thompson has made a handful of appearances for the senior side and has impressed supporters in their few glimpses of him in light blue and it’s hoped he can return and challenge for a starting slot in 2017/18.

The club have also confirmed that David Bates and Scott Roberts have moved in opposite directions to secure permanent deals at Ibrox and Stark’s Park respectively, Liam Kelly will remain at Livingston until the end of the season and Sam Jamieson and Kieran Wright have extended their development loans.
