Bristol City could move for Martyn Waghorn before Wednesday’s transfer deadline if they lose Ivory Coast international Jonathan Kodija. Hull City, Aston Villa and Derby County are all interested in the Ivorian and Lee Johnson could move to sign Waghorn, who is currently out with a hamstring injury, as his replacement.
Waghorn has two years left on his Rangers deal although he turned down an extension over the summer, along with James Tavernier who later re-signed, and there’s nothing to suggest the South Shields striker wants to leave Ibrox.
