Joleon Lescott has agreed a two-year deal with Rangers. After meeting Mark Warburton down south at the beginning of the week the former Man City, Everton and West Brom defender has agreed to move north to bolster Rangers’ defensive options.
Last season, 26-times capped, Lescott had a tough year with Aston Villa and has since been told by new boss Roberto di Matteo he is free to find a new club following Villa’s relegation to the Championship.
Barring any last minute hitches Lescott should be signed to make his debut in this Saturday’s Premiership tie with Motherwell at Ibrox.
