Rangers vs. St. Mirren: Predictions, potential lineups and team news

Rangers will probably stick with a similar team to the one that played at Palmerston Park for the visit of St. Mirren.

Three consecutive home games for Rangers probably gives us a chance to really tighten the screw and, should Hibs slip up (they have three away games in the same period) probably all but seal the title.

St. Mirren are first up, and returning to Ibrox will probably see us change our style slightly, although will we stick with the same all-out-attacking lineup as at Palmerston Park despite it not really bearing fruit?

The defence will surely remain the same, so it's up front and in midfield where the decisions will have to be made. After Nicky Clark's rotten display against Queen of the South, we expect Kenny Miller to get the main striking berth, and Michael O'Halloran to keep his place on the right.

The real question is whether McKay will continue in the centre. He wasn't quite so effective there last game, but we suspect Mr Warburton will want to try him there in a game we'll probably dominate more - since the alternative is bringing Dominic Ball in, which is unnecessary, or bringing in Gedion Zelalem, who needs minutes but hasn't been great, McKay is probably the best option. That means Billy King or Harry Forrester will get a shot on the other flank - probably the latter since he needs minutes ahead of the Dundee game.

Which leaves us with the following team. What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments and be sure to get involved in the prediction league too.
