Matt Crooks could be set for a shock start at Tynecastle in an advanced role ahead of Andy Halliday, according to rumours.
It's only Twitter and forum talk right now, although it appears to be at least reasonably well-sourced.
In addition, Joe Dodoo will reportedly start at striker in place of Joe Garner.
If true, it's a pretty bold call from the manager. Dodoo might well have scored two very good goals last time out, but a trip to Tynecastle is difficult, and the combative, physical presence of Garner might be essential, whether to fight with Hearts' tough midfield or attempt to bully John Souttar.
But bringing in Matt Crooks - who has played for the Under-20s but hardly looked outstanding - is a big call in itself, let alone to play him in a more advanced role rather than as a defensive midfifelder.
