VIDEO: Rangers 3-0 Kilmarnock - report, goals and highlights

Rangers had probably their best and most comfortable game of the season as they easily swatted Killie aside.

Rangers hauled themselves up to 2nd and got back on form as they easily defeated a poor Kilmarnock side at Ibrox.

Rangers came flying out of the traps and almost scored in the opening minute, and apart from some dangerous wing play from Jones, soon kept Killie pegged back and under siege.

It wasn't long until they opened the scoring, when lax defending down Killie's right flank allowed Lee Wallace to get a break after being supplied with a belter of a pass from Josh Windass. The skipper then finished neatly at the near post to make it 1-0.

Rangers weren't waiting long to make it two either, with Jason Holt brought down in the area. Andy Halliday stepped up to convert and put Rangers firmly in control.

And finally, Joe Garner, who had a mixed afternoon, completed things after some smart movement allowed him to get on the end of Windass' miscued shot to flick into the corner.

All in all, a great victory for Rangers, and with Aberdeen and St. Johnstone losing, with Hearts' comeback at Inverness failing, that takes us into 2nd. Let's make sure we don't fall any further down for the rest of the season.
