Young midfielder Liam Burt has been called up to the Scotland Under 21 squad to face Iceland and Macedonia.
Burt, who is only 17-years-old, has worked with new Under 21’s manager Scot Gemmill at Under 15 and Under 17 level previously and has obviously made a big impression on him. Gemmill’s squad features a number of new faces as he looks to prepare for the next qualification campaign with progression in the current campaign out of reach.
Burt is highly rated at Ibrox and the youngster has featured in the matchday squad a number of times in the last 12 months and penned a new deal earlier this year.
