Rangers midfielder Scott Arfield has a surprising cameo in Nike’s new ‘Believe in something’ advert, featuring Colin Kaepernick.
The partnership between Kaepernick, who has seen a solid NFL career stall since he took a stance at games against racist police brutality, has been a topic of much discussion recently. One segment in the advert gives a shout out to Alphonso Davies, a young former refugee born in Ghana to Liberian parents who went on to become the youngest ever player to appear and score for the Canadian national team.
In the clip, Davies can be seen alongside his international teammate Arfield, who joins in the celebrations for his goal.

Not exactly centre stage obviously, but nice to see.
Hopefully the various inspirational exploits contained within the advert spur the man on to some better performances, as there’s no doubt he’s been a wee bit of a disappointment after the excitement that greeted his arrival...
