Rangers blew a chance to draw level on points with Celtic in a 2-2 draw with Partick Thistle at Firhill.
The Gers lost captain Lee Wallace to an early injury before Alfredo Morelos opened the scoring on 19 minutes.
Morelos showed excellent composure to rifle the ball home after Ryan Jack found the 21-year-old unmarked.
Pedro Caixinha’s side dominated the first half and probably should have extended their lead before the break but couldn’t.
Thistle then came out in the second period and rattled Gers wuth two goals in the first 15 minutes.
Blair Spittal’s free-kick and Chris Erskine’s tap-in put the hosts in front but Erskine would soon pick up a red card for a horrific challenge on Alfredo Morelos.
Graham Dorrans’ brilliant strike got the Light Blues back on level terms as they pushed everything forward to get back in front.

The Gers had plenty of chances but couldn’t get a vital third goal before Willie Collum made one of the worst decisions you’ll see in a while.
With two Partick Thistle players pretty much lying on top of the ball a couple yards from goal, Collum somehow managed to award a free-kick against Rangers.
Rangers face Partick again on Tuesday night in the quarter-final of the Betfred Cup
