Rangers are set to offer goalkeeper Wes Foderingham a bumper new deal in the wake of reported interest from Mark Warburton’s Nottingham Forest according to The Sun.
Foderingham, who signed a new contract last year, has been one of Rangers’ best players over the last two seasons and Pedro Caixinha wants to reward the ex-Swindon keeper with a pay rise and extended contract to keep him at Ibrox despite interest from Forest.
The 26-year-old is the undisputed number 1 at Ibrox and is believed to be happy to remain in Glasgow for the foreseeable future. Foderingham joined Rangers in 2015 and has made 97 appearances for the Gers since moving from Swindon.
Despite Forest’s interest, it’s always appeared unlikely Foderingham would move on in this transfer window with Caixinha a fan of the shot-stopper and Warburton unlikely to cough up the sort of fee that would force Rangers’ hand on any transfer.
Foderingham’s current Ibrox deal has two years to run.
