After yesterday’s 3-2 defeat to Hibs, Kenny Miller has offered his view on Ryan Jack’s controversial red card. Jack was sent off for going head-to-head with Hibs striker Anthony Stokes and Miller believes Jack only has himself to blame, saying: “I’d have to have a look at it again but if Ryan has made any kind of motion with his head then in this day and age it is a sending-off.
“It was frustrating because we were playing well, hit the post and were at Hibs from the get-go. It was a poor goal to lose at first and then the sending-off changes the game.
“Before the red card, there were two or three similar situations, head to heads, wee things.
“But at 1-0 up we don’t need to get involved in that.”
Inexplicably, Anthony Stokes - who had already been booked - escaped any action for grabbing Jack by the throat and moving his head towards the Rangers midfielder.
After the match, Pedro Caixinha suggested Rangers will appeal the decision. You can see Jack’s red card below:
