Rangers have made a £500k bid for Hearts winger Jamie Walker as Pedro Caixinha continues his summer spending spree.
The bid, which falls well short of the £1m Hearts hope to receive, would see the winger join up head along the M8 to link up with Caixinha’s side ahead of their Europa League campaign which kicks off later this month. Walker has intimated his wish to leave Tynecastle this summer despite verbally agreeing to a new deal. Walker’s contract ends next summer so Hearts are looking to cash in before they lose him for nothing in 12 months.
The pursuit of yet another winger likely spells the end of Barrie McKay’s Rangers career with Walker, Dalcio and Candeias all playing in the same position.
Ryan Jack, Bruno Alves, Dalcio, Daniel Candeias and Fabio Cardoso have already signed on for 2017/18 with Alfredo Morelos, Carlos Pena, Eduardo Herrera and Graham Dorrans expected to follow in the next week.
