Rangers could sign Graham Dorrans in the summer, according to the Scottish Sun.
New assistant manager Jonatan Johansson was sent to scout the Norwich midfielder recently, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
As well as a Scotland international with plenty of Premier League appearances to his name, Dorrans is also a lifelong Rangers fan, which could help get the deal over the line as Caixinha inevitably competes with plenty of other managers looking to sign him on a free transfer once the season ends.
While Rangers' midfield have performed excellently under Caixinha, two of them - Jon Toral and Emerson Hyndman - are only here on loan, and we could end up with neither for next season. With that in mind, we certainly need midfielders, and it looks like Dorrans could be pretty high up the list.
It could be a fine move for Rangers, and while Dorrans wasn't exactly a powerhouse in the Premier League, he was nonetheless a solid performer, and he should do well in Scotland. At only 29, he has plenty of years left in him and he wouldn't cost anything in a transfer fee. Not too bad....
