Dave King has promised Pedro Caixinha that he will get a significant amount of money to overhaul the squad in the summer transfer window.
King informed Caixinha that the money would be there when the pair met earlier in the week.
King also mentioned some of his plans to the media, intimating that the level of player turnover would depend on the manager's assessment.
But GTBFO understands that the amount to be invested in the playing squad is likely to be significantly higher than that given to Mark Warburton in his second summer in charge, regardless of how many players Caixinha will move in or out.
King has been giving plenty of interviews to the press about his future plans for the club after a lengthy period of silence. While King's media profile is a bit extreme - being silent for months then giving huge, revealing interviews all of a sudden - it's part of the nature of having a chairman who lives abroad. King also pointed out that his distance doesn't significantly affect the club, with Stewart Robertson in day-to-day charge.
King also mentioned that Caixinha was brought in early to get a better feel for the state of the playing squad to plan adequately for the summer. That now seems to be the plan, with King also saying that the club are working towards hiring a Director of Football before the summer to help with the rebuild.
