Pedro Caixinha should be Rangers next manager, according to the Daily Record. The Portuguese coach wants to get things sorted this weekend so he can take charge next week in order to take on Celtic.
Caixinha could be in Glasgow as soon as Monday, and seems pretty eager to get to work. The prospect of facing a rampant Celtic side at Parkhead with a poor and dishevelled Rangers side seems to have him entirely unfazed.
So - we at least know he has some guts. That's pretty admirable, in all honesty, and while there's the obvious potential for an early disaster, there's also the possibility of an instant boost, and what would you prefer - a manager who delayed it because he was afraid of them?
Let's hope we can get it done soon. We're expecting Ross Wilson to be confirmed as Director of Football tomorrow, while we've got some interviews coming up between now and next week detailing Caixinha's performances in Portugal and Mexico, and what we might be able to expect when he arrives in Glasgow.
