Billy Gilmour captained Scotland Under-16s to a 1-0 victory over Croatia at Heriot-Watt today.
The 15 year-old playmaker started the game along with fellow Rangers youngster Dapo Mebude as the youngsters emerged victorious thanks to a goal from Connor McBride of the Forth Valley Academy.
The game was part of the UEFA Development Tournament, which will take place in Edinburgh, so we can expect to see further outings for young Gilmour.
Gilmour was recently in the matchday squad for Rangers in their cup clash against Greenock Morton, but didn't get a spot on the bench. It's unlikely we'll see him in the first team before the end of the season - especially considering his tender age - but next season seems a lot more likely. Assuming he stays at the club, of course - pretty much every elite club in the world are circling and looking to snap him up from our clutches.
