Rangers look set to appoint Southampton’s Ross Wilson as Director of Football after offering the position to the 34-year-old following a successful interview in London last week.
After holding initial talks with the Saints’ Director of Scouting & Recruitment the Ibrox board have decided the former Falkirk, Huddersfield and Watford man is the man they want to overhaul the football department as the club rebuilds after Mark Warburton’s reign.
Despite the offer, Wilson could still decide to remain at St. Mary’s and continue the work he has been doing with Southampton. Rangers have also continued their hunt for a Director of Football should Wilson decide his future lies in England with reports earlier that Brentford Head of Football Operations Robert Rowan was also interviewed by the board last week.
