Ross Wilson could make the move from Southampton to Rangers after he was interviewed for the Director of Football role this week, according to the Daily Mail.
The former Falkirk scout was interviewed in London along with several other candidates, and it looks likely that the board will appoint a Director of Football before moving for a manager.
The Mail don't give any indication on whether he'll take the job or not, but do describe him as one of the frontrunners. While some of his work at Southampton has been overstated - much of it is more down to Les Reed, and Wilson hasn't been at the club for very long - there's no doubt he's very highly thought-of in football and would be a significant coup for us.
We don't know when we'll get a decision on this, but it's probably likely to be in the coming weeks.
We'll keep you posted with any updates;.;
