Garry Monk was asked today about rumours linking him to the Rangers job, and you can see his response (or, basically, lack thereof) below.

Monk would be a strange one. Leeds are currently doing well in the Championship and in a decent spot for promotion - if they miss out, it's easier to see Rangers landing their man, but we'd probably not want to wait that long to find out if Monk is willing to leave, and we'd want somebody a wee bit more committed anyway.
Monk is only on a 12-month rolling contract at Leeds, too, which would make it easier to get him if both parties did wish to do a deal.
Nonetheless, it could be a good appointment. Monk was quite harshly sacked by Swansea and has done well at Leeds, who remain eternally a basket case of a club. While we're not exactly Bayern Munich, we're certainly not what we were either, and if he prefers the chance at some stability and European football, who knows.
