Frank McParland and Rob Kiernan are both set to stay at Rangers, contrary to reports in the press, according to Mark Warburton.
The manager was conducting his press conference ahead of this weekend's cup clash against Morton, and was asked about both stories.
Asked about McParland, Warburton said:
"Frank is one of - you know my comments, iv'e said time and time again, his track record speaks for itself. His track record is outstanding. The latest one has seen Scott Hogan go to Aston Villa, another gem. One of many, many, many that Frank McParland has signed. And there'll be no shortage of takers for someone of his quality. We're lucky to have him.
"He's on holiday in Dubai, enjoying a Pina Colada at the moment I'm sure.
"There was a mischievous story yesterday, where it emanated from i've no idea. I'd like to know. He's travelling again to look at players next week.
"I don't understand where the stories are coming from. I'm apparently being linked to clubs, and Frank's going - it's just nonsense, I would love to know the origination of certain stories."
Later on, the subject of Rob Kiernan came up:
"Absolute nonsense. Another mischievous report. Rob's wondering why he hasn't got his shirt on. He didn't play, he wants to play, he's a top professional. He's an outstanding young player... the other bit is absolute nonsense."
The papers aren't in agreement - the Evening Times today reported that McParland is still set to leave, and while Warburton is denying it all, it only makes sense that he would. There's still a feel of the end times about his reign at Rangers, regardless of what happens at the weekend.
