Pedro Caixinha has been sacked as Rangers manager after seven months in charge.

The 46-year-old was dismissed after last night’s 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock left the Gers in fourth place in the Scottish Premiership.

Rangers trail leaders Celtic by eight points.

Under-20 coach Graeme Murty is expected to take caretaker charge of the first-team for the second time this year.

Rangers' next game is on Saturday when they travel to Edinburgh to face Craig Levein's Hearts at Murrayfield.

Murty, Alex McLeish, Derek McInnes and Kenny Miller are amongst the bookies favourites to replace Caixinha as Rangers boss.
