Rangers’ pursuit of Jason Cummings looks to have been reignited with rumours the club will make a move for the Hibernian striker in summer. Rangers were interested in the 2016 summer window, but the aftermath of the Scottish Cup Final helped to derail the move.
So far the story has been confined to forums and Twitter, but it appears to be pretty well sourced. Cummings hasn't quite hit the same level of form as last season so far, but he still boasts an impressive goalscoring record.
Hibs signed the striker up to another contract recently, but it might include a release clause which Rangers could exploit to get their man. Anything that means we have to deal less with Rod Petrie and Neil Lennon is probably a good thing.
So, what do we think? Absolute rocket of a boy, obviously, but he scores a lot of goals, and he'd be our absolute rocket of a boy…
