Mark Warburton faced the media today ahead of Saturday’s Scottish Cup fixture with Motherwell and provided an update on several players currently missing through injury. Jordan Rossiter, Joe Garner, Joe Dodoo & Niko Kranjcar will all miss the lunchtime game but Warburton revealed captain Lee Wallace will be fit to face the Steelmen.
Warburton said: “Lee is fit and well and has trained well this week. We’re delighted to have him back.
"Joe (Garner) won’t be back yet. He’s probably two or three weeks away.
"Jordan is getting there, he’ll be working outside next week. I get very frustrated because I know he is frustrated. We know what a good player he is, he’s an outstanding young talent, but I’m not going to put pressure on him by putting a date for him coming back but the fact that he’s going outside soon is good news. Finger crossed we see Jordan soon."
Niko Kranjcar remains out after undergoing knee surgery and Joe Dodoo has stepped up his training as he recovers from a hamstring injury.
