Hearts and three other teams now in for Rangers' Michael O'Halloran

Michael O'Halloran is being coveted by Hearts, according to tomorrow's Daily Record, as Rangers ponder over whether to sell to a team so close to them in the league.

Ross County, Motherwell and St. Johnstone are also competing to sign O'Halloran. All of the moves mooted so far have been loan deals, with Mark Warburton not quite ready to give up on the winger he bought a year ago.

Whether we'll consider helping Hearts out with a loan remains to be seen - we all expected to be a lot further clear of them than we are so far, and they've been making a few moves to strengthen in January (as well as having pied their best defender and appointed a wee nerd as manager, true, but still.)

Anyway, whatever happens, it looks certain he'll be punted in this window. Jon Toral might be competing for his spot out right, or possibly Barrie McKay, Josh Windass, James Tavernier, Kenny Miller, Martyn Waghorn... anyone?
