Joe Garner could make a swifter return from his injury than first thought, according to Mark Warburton.
The striker went for a scan yesterday to assess the extent of a shoulder injury picked up during the Hogmanay Old Firm game, and there were fears that it may have required an operation, keeping him out for up to three months. However, the club's Twitter account today gave an update to say that the injury should only be a short-term affair.
Update from Mark Warburton on Joe Garner: Scan results were positive, hopeful he will be out short-term as opposed to long-term.

So, the manager still isn't telling us too much, but hopefully that means we should see him back in action at some point next month. In the meantime, one of Martyn Waghorn, Kenny Miller and Joe Dodoo will have to deputise up front. We might get an idea of who tomorrow, when Rangers take on RB Leipzig in a friendly.
