Former Scotland defender Graeme Murty will take charge of the under 20s for the first time tonight as he looks to help develop the next batch of Auchenhowie kids for Mark Warburton’s senior squad.
The young Gers kicked off their Development League campaign last week with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of St. Mirren. Despite dominating much of the game Jordan Stewart’s free-kick was the difference between the sides and Rangers will be looking for their first win against a Bairns side playing their first game of the season. Matt Crooks played just under an hour for the 20s against St. Mirren and may feature again at Falkirk.
Three of the young Gers side have been called up by Scotland under 19 boss Ricky Sbragia for their friendlies with Greece next week. Robby and Ross McCrorie will be joined in the squad by Liam Burt in the 20-man squad.
Entry at the Falkirk Stadium is free and kick-off is at 7pm.
