Rangers have agreed a fee for Preston North End’s Joe Garner and are looking to tie up the deal as soon as they can, as you’re presumably aware. An unveiling might have been expected today, or a medical yesterday, but instead, there are reports that the deal is likely to be delayed.
The reason, according to the Daily Record, is that Garner has decided to change advisors to complete the deal, which is holding things up slightly, and is likely to push the move back until next week, whereas we had hoped to have him available for Motherwell at the weekend.
But other than having to play Kenny Miller up front again, there’s probably nothing to worry about. The Express were also covering the story, and reported the delay, but went as far as to call the deal "a formality", while the Record seemed pretty sure things were still on track too.
So, hopefully nothing to be too worried about. Let’s hope the club can get things sorted as soon as possible...
