Mark Warburton set to make NINTH summer signing as Leicester City striker checks in

Mark Warburton will make his ninth signing of the summer later today with the imminent arrival of Joe Dodoo from Leicester City on a four-year deal. Dodoo's signing is believed to cost in the region of £250,000 in development fees.

Dodoo joins fellow new boys Niko Kranjcar, Joey Barton, Clint Hill, Matt Gilks, Josh Windass, Matt Crooks and Jordan Rossiter as Rangers gear up for a title challenge which kicks off in three weeks. If the deal is completed in time Dodoo could make his Rangers bow this weekend in the Betfred Cup clash with Motherwell.

Dodoo made a handful of first team appearances for Leicester last season, including scoring a hat-trick on his debut, before spending a month on loan at League One Bury.  The 21-year-old is comfortable playing anywhere across the front and was predominantly used as a winger in Leicester's U21 side. Born in Ghana he is also eligible to represent England at international level, appearing for the U19s, but is believed to want have a preference to represent the country of his birth.
