Rangers transfer rumours are starting to heat up as we approach the summer, and Mark Warburton looks to be well underway to strengthening his squad for next season's title challenge.

To that end, one new player has been linked with a move to the club while another previously rumoured has now been the subject of a bid, with one knocked back but the club expected to increase their offer.

Ben Pringle is the new name linked, a 26-year-old winger of Fulham, recently on loan at Ipswich Town. Pringle had previously enjoyed a successful time at Rotherham United before signing for the Cottagers, but has found first team appearances hard to come by. The move would apparently require the player to cancel his current contract - not the most exciting rumour we've heard, but Warburton has made similar deals work before, like Harry Forrester.

The rumour does come from the Express, however, which are not known to be particularly reliable.

Secondly, the bid rejected was for Livingston youngster Matthew Knox, who Warburton confirmed was a target recently. The bid was suggested to be around £75,000, with Livingston holding out for double, but Rangers are believed to be ahead of other clubs chasing his signature.
