Barrie McKay wants a new contract "as soon as possible", according to Chris 'Union' Jack in the Evening Times.
McKay spoke to the paper about his desire to earn a new deal, which will be comfort to those of us who worried about the delay. It was reported - and confirmed by Mark Warburton - that Rangers were in talks with McKay at the same time as deals were offered to Jason Holt and Andy Halliday, but while the other two soon signed new contracts, McKay has been left hanging.
The youngster said:
"I think we were just trying to get the January transfer window out the way and get whatever targets we had in. Now hopefully we will try and sort mine.
"Hopefully I can get it signed as soon as possible and it isn’t too far away. I want to get it done and commit my future here."
Good stuff. News when we get it.
