Rangers are headed to Rugby Park for the Scottish Cup replay against Kilmarnock, and it looks like Jig will be taking charge of the team despite Lee Clark being appointed as Killie manager today. But how are Rangers likely to line up?
In defence, everybody's fit and we can surely expect the same lineup as normal. With fewer forward options available thanks to Billy King and Michael O'Halloran being cup-tied, however, we'll need another midfielder to go with Jason Holt and Andy Halliday. That'll surely be Dominic Ball, who didn't play against Alloa.
Up front is where things get a bit dicey. Martyn Waghorn would be expected to start, but he's in some pretty horrendous form, and Mr Warburton's conservative approach to team rotation will probably be balanced out by his clear love for Harry Forrester. It's a hard one to call but for that reason, we reckon he'll decide to drop Waghorn at the expense of the former Doncaster Rovers winger. We also think he'll go on the left, with Barrie McKay moving over to the right where he ended up in the first game, to attack Stevie Smith.
Here's our predicted lineup, then:
GTBFO PREDICTION LEAGUE
The GTBFO prediction league started for the Alloa game, but with nobody correctly predicting the result of the game, you won't have missed out. Post your predictions for the match score and ONE goalscorer in the comments. You'll get one point for a right result, two points for a goalscorer, and three points for an exact score. The winner at the end of the season wins a MYSTERY STAR PRIZE (it will actually be something worthwhile, no daft booby prizes.)
