Nicky Law will be staying at Rangers rather than heading on loan to St. Johnstone, according to STV.
There was a strong suggestion that the Englishman would be used as a makeweight to secure the deal for O'Halloran, but STV now claim a deal is done and Law isn't a part of it.
That's a relief in some ways, but perhaps not in others. We're not Law's greatest fans here at GTBFO, but it's pretty clear that his departure would have left us a bit light in that position unless Mark Warburton had opted to put his faith in Jordan Thompson and Liam Burt. There can't be too many fans who wouldn't prefer to see either of those youngsters given a shot.
So we'll have him for the rest of the campaign, and it looks like this deal could go ahead at any minute. Rangers have also pushed back today's press conference - so we can probably expect a big unveiling later too.
