Rangers could make further moves to bolster their midfield by making a move for Motherwell's Chris Cadden, according to rumours.
The suggestions, which so far are confined to Twitter and forums (although seemingly well-sourced) come as Mark Warburton makes plans to reinforce his side in the January window, with midfielders a priority. Rangers have already been linked to a host of other players in the position as Warburton spoke of a mystery foreign signing.
Cadden, a physically dominant midfielder, has spent most of this season playing on the right wing for Motherwell, although is also adept in the centre of midfield. A recent call-up to the Scotland Under-21 squad and in fine form this season, Warburton will be hoping that the player will add steel and physicality to Rangers midfield in the long term.
However, with Sunderland and a host of Championship clubs also interested in his signature, Rangers might face a fight to sign the player if they are interested. Cadden recently signed a new deal at Motherwell, although seems likely to leave, along with striker Louis Moult, in one of the next two windows.
