Rangers will make a move to replace Joey Barton with young midfielder Diego Poyet, according to an exclusive report in The Sun.
The 21 year-old was highly rated at Charlton, but saw his career stall after several loan moves while at West Ham.
He appeared to be on the verge of a move to Derby County, but is interested in moving to Ibrox.
We'll do some digging and find out more about young Poyet as soon as we can, although he does seem to be quite well thought of. It would be an interesting move for the club, not least since it returns to our hitherto successful policy of signing younger, hungrier players with something to prove.
However, it's debatable whether we actually need another midfielder as a priority right now. Although with the extent of Jordan Rossiter's injury still unknown, we don't know how long we'll have to wait to see him in a blue shirt again.
