Rangers are a month away from the January transfer window, but the speculation has begun to intensify. The latest player linked is Matty Taylor of Bristol Rovers, and reports are that we face a fight for his signature with Brighton, QPR, Wolves and Cardiff.
Taylor has scored 15 goals in 22 games so far this season in League One, although Bristol Rovers have stated that selling the player in January is “the last thing” on their minds.
So, overall, not exactly earth shattering. Although it could well mean that Martin Waghorn is indeed off if we're likely to make a relatively big move in a position we have reasonable cover for. The suggested destination for Waghorn was in fact Rovers' rivals, Bristol City. Whether a successful League One player is going to help us close The Gap is another matter. Our record of shopping in that league has been decidedly mixed to say the least...
